Hi, I’m Kayla Clement, the author and illustrator behind Klementine Books. I’m thrilled to invite you on my creative journey where self-discovery, artistic wonder, and joyful storytelling collide. For years, my mind has buzzed with ideas for stories, and now, I’m ready to bring them to life, starting with my very first children’s book, Boo's Cruise.

 

I believe in the magic of creation, and I’m excited to share every step of my process with you—from brainstorming ideas, to writing these stories, and then finally painting them into existence. You’ll be along for the ride, experiencing my highs and lows as I learn from every mistake. Though I don’t have formal training in painting, my art is shaped by my love of learning and creating. I’ve attended a few wine-and-paint nights, and the rest of my skills have been honed by the amazing YouTube creators who generously share their knowledge. My inspiration also comes from my beautiful toddlers, my husband, and my soul dog, who bring endless love and positivity to my life. I’m so excited to share this adventure with you!
